Location:

Carroll County is located mid-way (approximately 45-50 miles) between Louisville and Cincinnati on Highway 42 or Interstate 71 at Exit 44.  Carrollton is located at the confluence of the Ohio and Kentucky Rivers.

An interchange of Interstate 71 is located four miles southeast of Carrollton via Kentucky 227.  Interstate 71 provides direct access to Interstate 75, thirty-six miles northeast of Carrollton, near Cincinnati. Ohio; and to Interstates 64 and 64 in Louisville; fifty-one miles southwest of Carrollton.
